11-04-2024- Out of slumber, jet lag or whatever, nope not this time.

A bit of a push but to a served breakfast so quite easy really. Today I forget what the breakfast items of the last 5 days have been. The demand to make it myself couldn't replicate the choice anyway.

7 hours of travel yesterday largely moving on trains but 90 minutes say of waiting. 90 minutes of waiting also on board which was a surprise on the final leg to a vital pre-arranged stay. The Pacific comes into view first as Tokyo Bay, a name I remember. I later see on the tourist brochure that I was not imagining that piece of name knowledge. Then the train swings around to facing the Pacific in the East. This morning and last night it is a continual sound. Amazingly enough I found the same word come to mind looking at the photos I took today.

status - happy. Walking and cycling and the stress cycle broken by heading to the coastal heaven promoted in a airbnb in order to not rack up a mission instead of a holiday. I could have gone overboard but instead it is a casual swim. Not that there is really any casual way to describe seeing this ocean for the first time. The swim is too short as I am concerned not to make an error of not knowing the currents and there are strong pulls at the shore. No sign of a swimming partner.
